Judy & Roberts 40th Wedding Anniversary

In January we went across to Coolangatta on the Gold Coast of Australia to celebrate with Judy and robert their 4oth Wedding Anniversary. I was Judy's Bridesmaid and Lorraine was her other Bridesmaid and she too came across from Perth to celebrate together with us. We all had a wonderful week together and a very nice time at the Jupiters Casino where we had a Dinner and Show. It was a 4oth to Remember and we thank them both for the wonderful hospitality in their Apartment. When we left them we had a lovely night up on the Sunshine Coast with our dear friends Sandra and Baden and they were very kind and delivered us to the Airport to see us off. Thanks Sandra and Baden for the lovely end to our trip. We loved seeing you both and it was nice to meet your new Grand daughter as well.

Visiting From Sydney, Australia

In January Graham and Sherylan arrived in NZ to surprise Mother and the rest of the family. We had a lovely week with them including a Boat Trip up in the Bay of Islands and a visit to the Zion Lion Park in Kamo, Whangarei.

Laura's Last days in NZ

We had a really lovely time the last days with Laura and on the day we left for the Airport in Auckland we had a very nice Breakfast with Tania, Scott, Jordan and Kesia. We stopped at Orewa Beach for Lunch and had a lovely walk along the beach. It was a beautiful sunny day and Laura could get a little bit more tanned before leaving our shores. She was arriving back in Finland with an excellent dark tan. Looking really healthy!!!! We visited the Auckland Botanical Gardens in the afternoon and had a lovely time together with some friends. We spent the night together in Auckland and had a very delicious Dinner outdoors. Next morning to the Airport and our farewell to dearest Laura as she joined together with the other exchange students to book in for the flight back home. Farewell our dearest Finnish Daughter. We will be waiting for your Return.

Xmas Day

We had a lovely family Xmas with all the little children and some bigger children too. Lots of fun and good food and of course Santa came and looked after everyone. Great gifts Santa!!! We hope we showed our Finnish daughter Laura a proper N.Z Christmas. We also had a guest with us Carsten from Germany. No snow here folks!!! Lovely time had by old and by young. Merry Christmas 2007!

Xmas Parade December 07

It was a fun time watching the floats go by at the Kamo Xmas Parade earlier in the month. Watching the smiling faces of the children as the different floats and displays went by was truly a joy. The weather stayed fine and it was just a perfect way to get everyone into the spirit of Christmas. Still a kid at heart I guess!!!

More Family From Germany

We were very lucky to Have Dear Claudia from Germany back again for another visit and this time she brought with her her dear brother Carston and her very nice boyfriend Gerold. We had a wonderful time together and enjoyed our swims at the Beach very much. Also a hike up Mt Manaia was very enjoyable for those who made the trek up. We look forward to more good times with Carston as he spends a year on a working holiday in our country.

Family From Finland

During October Laura's Family arrived from Finland for a visit. They had a short tour around New Zealand before arriving in Whangarei for a short time. We enjoyed meeting with them and showing a little of our part of the world.
